photo files on desktop

i have been trying to delete photo files from my desktop but the more i
delete them the more they are duplicating themselves resulting in 100,s of
copies . has anyone any ideas what i can do to get rid of them?

I would think you might have known something about spyware and virus
infections, since you are posting on a newsgroup. If you can't identify the
infection enough to remove it. (try googling the symptoms), you should
probably consider using your system recovery tools. Curing the damage done by
that 'photo' site you downloaded from is going to require a lot more
information than you seem to have.

XP will tend to duplicate files like this when you select them one at a
time. Try selecting in groups or all at one time then delete and see what
happens. Good luck
