Photo duplicating

A

AM

I preface this question with the fact that I have a
McKaffe firewall installed on my laptop....that seems to
have a strange effect on everything my computer does.
Anyway, I download digital photos onto my hard drive with
a Laxar SmartMedia Reader and I edit them in Dell Picture
Studio. I downloaded some work pictures and wanted to
delete them after editing. Instead of deleting, the
photos kept duplicating...10 of them about 50 times!

These photos appear when I pull up my 'Pictures' file,
but not always when I enter the folder through Dell
Picture Studio. Everytime I try to delete 20-40 of them,
they just duplicate again. How do I get rid of these
PAGES of duplicate photos?

This probably was due to the way you use the Ctrl key and your mouse when
you selected the files to delete.
Click on the first file, remove your finger from the mouse. Hold the Ctrl
key down, click on the second file. Remove your finger from your mouse,
click the third file. Etc. If you keep your finger on your mouse and you
drag the file you just clicked on while holding the Ctrl key down, XP starts
making copies of the file.
