photo programs

I have both Micro Picture It and Dell Photo Studio the same pictures are in
both, it takes up too much space with both, what is the best photo organizer
and if I delete 1 of them will my photos remain on the other. Is there a
better program that I can use I would like not to spend any more for
software.

Picasa is free
www.picasa.com

and does a very nice job as an organizer and then a basic photo editor.
After you install it, it will scan yopur entire drive and find all your
photo files. You can then use it to display your photos in chronological
order, etc. Very nice software. Also when you open it, all the thumbnails of
all your photos will open automatically. A lot faster to find the photos
your want than using any other organizer.
