Photo background

I have a photo in a slide that I would like to change the background (white)
to be transparent to match the slide background. I have done it in the past
but cannot recall how I accomplished that. Can someone help?

If the background is truly white (or any single colour) then you can use the
transparency wand in the picture toolbar. Note, even the slightest variation
in colour and this wont work, you need exact RGB values.

Thanks, I realized after I had opened the toolbar that I had not included
that one inteh list.
