Phonecall recording software

Then let me be perfectly succinct. *Your* opinion that it is unethical is
*your* opinion and isn't shared by many who are posting to this thread. It
is *not* legally dubious in many states including mine, Georgia, where only
one of two on the phone need to know that the recording is happening.

Here's one thing that isn't an opinion. You haven't a ****ing idea in Hell
what you are talking about.

Perhaps, perhaps not ... but I'm certainly not going to get any clues from
a latrine-mouthed twonk like you.

Are you sure about this? I'd check your local statutes carefully
before making that claim. It is not legal in many states to record
telephone calls without permission. Even the police have to get a
court order before tapping a phone.

Positive or my criminal lawyer is lying to me LOL. This is not tapping
when I call you, we are both in GA, and I record the call. I = one person
who knows. Tapping = zero persons who are the caller/calleee know.

Then you will die clueless and you shall have never learned a thing from
yo' momma.

That you are an indiscrete idiot?

Ah, personal abuse - the last refuge of those bereft of arguments.

But then why should I have expected otherwise from you?

.... The harm we do is more noticed than any good we do.

What do the words "not discrete" (discreet!) suggest to you?

It suggests that the OP wants something that doesn't repeatedly
interrupt the conversation by beeping repeatedly. A program that
repeatedly calls attention to itself is neither discreet nor
surreptitious. A program that makes itself known once at the beginning
of the task is discreet but not surreptitious.

If done with the knowledge and consent of all parties, then it is hardly
being done "discreetly", is it?

That depends on how obtrusive the recording device is. It can be as
discreet as a download that's launched and runs in the background, or as
obtrusive as a download that pops up a status box every minute whether
you want it or not.

One does not, in the normal course of events, hold a telephone
conversation with oneself. To do so would be to invite the attention of
the sanity inspectors.

That's a non sequiter.

Please put your biases aside. It's legal where I live. Is there any
software that does it?

<news:SVDbe.12050$Nc.1950@trnddc09>:
You are painting with too broad a brush here, Sparky ... what I am solely
referring to is the sneaky, underhanded, unethical and legally dubious
practice of you (e.g.) surreptitiously recording our telephone
conversation without my knowledge. How do you square that off against my
constitutional right to protection from self-incrimination? (assuming for
the sake of this discussion that I am an American citizen)

One, trust Sparky. Or two, don't call him. Let him call you.

I believer only the callee normally can record without permission.

Crawl back under your rock and speak when you're invited. Little boys
should be seen and not heard.

Then tuck that thing you call a weenie back in your panties or put a clamp
on its hole.

No thank you - I don't want to tuck you into my panties ... SOME of us are
particular, not peculiar.

You win. You're twice the ass I am. LOL

I dunno - I'm 92Kg. You?

1. Trust NOBODY.

2. Can != Do

In NY state either party can record without the others knowledge.
RAdio Shack and others sell a little suction cup with a wire that
plugs in a taper recorder just for such a situation.

.... which does not make using any such device less sneaky, underhanded,
or unethical.

Does your use of the words "can record" above, imply "may lawfully
record"? Subject to what conditions or restrictions?

You do realize you are being recorded right now, don't you?

Certainly.

You got a 92kg ass? Hell, your fifty times me.

No. 92Kg is all of me. Only a small portion is ass, the rest is class.
