Phone call on PC

I have one phone line with a telephone modem. I've been told that a
program exists which will allow me to answer incoming calls without
disconnecting from the net. Is there such a device and if so a freeware
version? Thank you,

Is your modem v.92? Does your ISP support V.92 Modem-on-hold?

Just use call-forwarding from your home phone to your cellphone when you
are online.

Then quite probably you already have the program you need on the modem
installation CD. If not, Google for "modem on hold".

In addition to said program, you will need call waiting from your telco.
