Philips CDRW not working.

The cdrw is being recognize in the BIOS setup, however did not get recognized
when I did a clean install going from ME to XP SR2. I can' find any drivers
on the internet for a PCRW804k17, and none available on the website. Can I
get old drivers from the ME
disk and use them in XP, and how?

I attempted this fix, however it will still not read the CDR drive.

CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive appears to be missing after you install Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;320553

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)
