Microsoft Anti-Spyware says there is 1. System is
running well, is it necessary to spend the Jacksons to

This is getting to be a popular question. Try Lavasoft's Ad-aware or Spybot
Search & Destroy--see what their opinion is. Remember that the beta builds
released thus far don't scan for cookies.

I ran pest scan, it always reports that my PC has ISTbar (but removal will not be free) So I tried aprox eight other known scanners including ms beta, spy bot, adware, trojan hunter, xoftspy and others, they and my full security pack McAfee always report that the system is clean! Oh and before I spend any money The Syntamatec dedicated ISTbar removal tool reports that removal is NOT REQUIREDBECAUSE THE PC DOES NOT HAVE ISTbar. What a minefield.
