Why do I keep getting the error message that personal.news.yahoo.com has
timed out? I have had a Yahoo email account for years but have never
seen this error message before. Thanks.

When IE has sucessfully connected to a web server, it starts counting until
the server closes the connection.

If the sever does not close the connection, but does not send any data, IE
will display a "Receive Timeout" after five minutes.

There is a free program that you can get at www.xteq.com "X-SETUP" that can
be used to change these settings. Be careful of this program because you can
change settings in windows that will cause you computer to crash.

I don't use IE. I use Firefox and Thunderbird instead. Is your
recommendation still the same? Thanks.
