Word 2000:

I want to build a personal letter template with my whole address as header
on the 1st page, on following pages only my name.

Help pages explain either how to do the one (filling header) or the other
(different pages) and I don't get it together. :-(

So how to do?

TIA for help!

Hi Alfbonn

The general idea is that you use File > Page Setup and on the Layout Tab
turn on "Different first page". That will give you one header for the first
page and one for all other pages.

Insert some dummy text or a page break into your document so you have at
least a bit more than one page of content. Now View > Header and Footer. Put
your name and address in the First Page Header and your name only in the
plain Header.

Now, delete the dummy texxt.

Hope this helps.
