Permissions not seen on folders

Why don't the permission show up anymore when I right
click on public folders or anything underneath? I know at
some point I used to be able to right click on the
publick folder and go to the permissions tab, yet now it
does not even show up.
 
Are you an owner of the folder in question? If not, you won't see the tab.
Your exchange admin can see what permissions you have on the Exchange
server....
 
I used to be the owner, that is why it is odd, now I
can't see any permissions on the public folders. When I
go to the exchange server where would I see the
permissions for the public folder>
