permission to start spooler

Hello.

How can I give regular users in a Windows 2000
server/client domain the right to start and stop the print
spooler in Services? Ours keeps stopping, so I've created
a simple batch file to start it again but it seems that
only an Administrator can start it...but I don't want to
make any users part of the Administrator's group.

Help much appreciated.

Not sure if the "Print Operators" group can do that... try it (I don't think
they can...)

Anyway, if you go into SERVICES.MSC on the server, and open up Print
Spooler, you can set "Recovery" options that will automatically restart the
service after xx minutes, if it fails. Does that work?

[I guess you've given up on trying to isolate the cause of the failures.
Could be caused by a misbehaving print driver...]
