I have editted the XP registry numerous times, now when I attemp to open the
registry I get this message:
"Registry editting has been disabled by your administrator"
I am the administrator. How do I reset these permissions?
Thanks

Hi, i was just wondering if there are any other ways to enable regedit.exe,
because after every ".exe" extension, it says there is no association with
the program, and for it doing this action. While I re-associated the File
Type ".reg", the regedit.exe program is still disabled by my administrator.
Please help me with this frustrating problem.

Thanks

A few things to try:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com

Run regedt32.exe

Line 275. Lift Restrictions - TM, Regedit and CMD

What do I do with the .vbs file?

You save the file to the Desktop, double-click the file and it should
lift registry restrictions for you.
