John

I exported my Outlook files to backup.pst. When I go to
import them into a new computer I get the
message "Permission denied".

How do I overcome this?

Hi John,
It may be that your PST file is Read Only. Find the file
in Windows Explorer, Right Click and go to properties and
uncheck the read only file. Hope this helps.

I faced the similar problem and it seems to be solved
after I unchecked the read only. However, when I try to do
Send/Receive emails, I have this message "You don't have
the appropriate permission to perform this operation".

help!!!

Hi Horace
Can you provide some more info? Do you only have the
imported PST folder open in Outlook? Or do you have an
operable email account set up in outlook as well as the
imported file?
