Hi guys,
I have couple questions

first:
is there any safe way to delete single file without corruption of
other free space on the same drive?
The reason for this is that on my corrupted hard drive I see bunch of
files that appear in the search result of the recovery software.
From my previous post's I understood that CHKDSK killed my file
allocation table because XP without any SP doesn't support drives with
capacity larger then 160 GB (LBA 24)

The thing is, when I open the drive in explorer, the window content is
empty, but right clicking the drive's window and selecting
"properties" reveals that 154GB is available, meaning that the data is
there, but the FAT id different,
Is there any tool that can help analyze this situation or fix the FAT?

Thank you very much
Sharon

Do not fool with anything on the drive until you've run your recovery
software
and retrieved all the data you can.
Once your data is backed up I'd delete the drive and start over
