Permanently preventing altering powerpoint presentation

Is there a way to lock a powerpoint 2007 presentation so that it cannot be
altered by other users (MS states that the Mark as Final feature can be
turned off by users)?
Thank you

You have the option to password protect against editing.

As Michaels says, you can password your file.

Another option is to give permissions to the document. It's under Office
Button | Prepare | Restrict Permission. Not all versions of PPT have this
option -- I believe it's available only in Office Professional Plus,
Enterprise, and Ultimate.

Just be aware that nothing is infallible. If it can be shown, it can be
copied or recreated.

And remember that even with a password, a file can be broken in to. It shoud
work fine for basic purposes, though.
