Permanently deleting AutoCorrect entries

I cannot seem to permanently delete entries in AutoCorrect. I have tried
deleting one by one. They stay gone while I'm in my current session, but the
next time I open Word (I'm using Office Word 2003), they are back again. I
tried using the AutoCorrect Utility to create a backup document. I went into
that document and deleted everything I didn't want. The stuff that is left
are only one-line entries. I then restored it thru the Utility, and that
seemed to be okay. But as soon as I open Word again and look in AutoCorrect,
they are back! Arggg. I'm so frustrated. If anyone has any help to offer, it
would be much appreciated. I am not a geek, so please keep it simple! :)

Are you running Adobe Acrobat 7? This should not be relevant to AutoCorrect
(it would be to AutoText), but it might be.

Okay, that's a nonstarter, then.
