Permanent folder display options

I always want to display "details" when I look at folders but XP
seemed determined that I never get to keep that setting. Is there
anything I can do to force XP to always in every single folder it every
shows any place to show "details"? Thanks.

set windows explorer as you like it, then go to the menu= tools> folder
options > views and there is a button that says apply to all folders
