Hello,

we run a MS-Terminalserver on Win2003 and Office XP installed.
So far the first tests are very satisfying. But we have e real problem with
the performance of Powerpoint-presentations. The slides appear very slowly,
you can watch the picture being built up from single rectangles that appear
one after another. Like this, powerpoint is unusable.

Hardware can't be a problem, we have a dual-processor server, 1 GB RAM free,
access via LAN and just a few users connected.

Other Programs show pictures, photos and webpages very quick (okay, at least
quick).
What can we do?
any help is very appreciated
Harald

What color resolution are you running terminal services in?

The Terminalserver is configured for a color resolution of
16 Bit.
I made a try and connected with a remote desktop client
resolution of 8 Bits (on the client side). This speeds up
things somewhat, but doesn't really cure the problem.
