perfomance after scanning

After scanning my computer with microsoft antispyware my
computer slow a bit and i have to restart my computer to
make it get it back to normal. is this a issue?

using window xp pro/sp2
 
You can do a few things, defrag your PC, disable uncessary programs that are
starting up with your system and empty your temp files.
