Greetings:

I researched this on google and MSKB with no luck. My application event
log is filled with entries every 5 seconds, or so with the following data:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Perflib
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1010
Date: **/**/****
Time: **:**:** **
User: N/A
Computer: ******
Description:
The Collect Procedure for the "PerfOS" service in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\perfos.dll" generated an exception or returned an
invalid status. Performance data returned by counter DLL will be not be
returned in Perf Data Block. Exception or status code returned is data
DWORD 0.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data:
0000: 3d 01 00 00 =...

Everything seems to be running fine but the fact that the event log is being
filled with these is slightly annoying.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

What Service Pack is installed on the server, SP4 might
solve this issue...just an idea...
