PerfLib 1010 TCP/IP errors!

Hey,

I monitor about 40 small sites (5-150 users, 1-6 servers usually) daily and about 20-30% of these are suffering from logs full of the following error. In some cases there are hundreds per day filling up logs. So far I have been unable to find anything that works to clear these events of the evertviewer using technet, google, dogpile, dejanews, or eventid.net. So any help appreciated!

EventLogType: APPLOG
EventApp: Perflib
EventLogEntryCode: 1010
EventLogEntryMsg: The Collect Procedure for the "Tcpip" service in DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\Perfctrs.dll" generated an
exception or returned an invalid status. Performance data returned by counter DLL will be not be returned in Perf Data Block. Exception or status code returned is data DWORD 0.

Thanks from New Zealand to any one who can help.

Try running
WINMGMT /CLEARADAP

Or if that doesn't work, then you can run exctrlst.exe (Extensible Counter
Listing Tool) from the resource kit and disable the counters if you don't
need or use them. They're for use with Performance Monitor
