peer to peer - 2000 to 98

can I set up a peer to peer connection between my 2000 notebook and 98
desktop for simple file transfers ?

I would like to use both computers Ethernet connection...how do I do
this...do I need to modify or set up both machines...or just one ?

I want to be able to send files back and forth from/to both machines

just forget about it, 2000 simply don't work w/ 98.
if u insist,
set the IP address & subnet in TCP/IP,
but even u can view it, file sharing just snails...

It will work just fine. As long as you have the same Workgroup name and have
the basic network software and hardware in place, you should have no
problems in sharing files between these 2 platforms. You will need to have
File & Printer sharing enabled on both computers
