I had older version of Adobe reader with problems. I uninstalled it and
reinstalled the new 6.x and not when I click on a pdf file all I get is a
black page. I have to right click on the file, download it and open Adobe
Acrobate 6.0 and let it open the file.

When i click on manage Add-in's I can see the adobe reader but it will not
let me enable it. All buttons are grayed out.

Probably you have to adjust some settings in the new Adobe program to open
files on line. Try checking the help manual
