PDF files come up blank in browser

All of a sudden I cannot display a pdf document in IE6. It comes up blank.
Previously, it would load in Adobe Reader and display. I can save the file
directly to my computer with a right-click, and then it opens and displays
just fine.

This is occurring at all sites I tried, all of which previously worked with
Adobe just fine.

Any ideas on what's gone wrong?

The 5.0.5 is a bought version that enables me to create pdf files; 7.0.7 is
just the free reader. But the problem occurred suddenly; I had been having
no problem with both readers resident on the computer for a long time. So,
any thoughts about why the page comes up blank?

Here's another oddity. All of a sudden my second computer, an older Win98
with version 5 and version 6 reader, is having the same problem. The only
thing the two computers share is the cable modem and hard-wired router (a
Dynex). Why should both develop the same problem at the same time?
