PDF download

I have Windows 98 2nd Ed with IE 6.0 and Adobe reader 5.0
installed. Attempts to download .pdf file results in an
error message "WSACONNREFUSED"and the download will not
connect.
How do I fix this?

With your anti-virus application disabled and all running Windows processes
closed, uninstall Acrobat Reader 5.0 and install Acrobat Reader 6.0 from
http://www.acrobat-reader.download-uk.us/.
