pdf doc open with acrobat automatically when hyperlink clicked

I have hyperlinks from my web page to pdf documents located in the same
website folder, however when the link is clicked, internet explorer and
firefox ask if I want to save the file (download) and ask me if I trust the
site. Is there a way to bypass the security and open the document with
Acrobat automatically? I dont want my readers to have to save the doc in
order to print it or view it.

Can you give a URL to this page?

Works fine for me.
Make sure in Acrobat Reader you have the settings correct. Go to Edit |
Preferences and open the Internet Panel. Make sure "Display PDF in Browser"
is checked.

I have tried it with a different machine and it works fine, I will check my
Reader settings, they may have changed somehow as I just uninstalled Adobe
Acrobat(the thirty day trial version) and maybe that affected my Reader.
Thanks for your help
