open hyperlink in pdf file that link to excel

I have prepared ppt doc and create hyperlink to file in excel
program. and then i converted ppt to pdf.file.

But when i roll mouse over the hyperlink in pdf file that link to file
in excel program. It cannot open.

Why is that so? However when I tried word doc. with hyperlink to excel
and convert to pdf and then open the hyperlink in pdf file to link to
file in excel it works.
