Has anybody had ever dealings with this company (Pcspecialist.co.uk), or heard of them? If so, what did you think of them ie, quality of service/product, custsomer service?. I'm currently pondering whether or not to go and buy a system from them, or go elsewhere.

ive seen a lot of bad reviews for pcspecialists

i would stick to the big name firms like cyberpowersystems.com and wired2fire.com
you pay a extra few£ but it goes towards custom support and they will replace any thing not working or broke in transport

cyberpowersystems.com make Power Protection Solutions & not PC's!

Another option could be 3BSystems.co.uk

I got a pc from them for some relatives. Very good service and the pcs can be configured to just about what you like. I was going to build it for them and save the cash, but time was against me, got to say the job they did was very good, the cables were so tidy! A lot of places wouldn't bother....

If you can why not build it yourself?

I have built PCs in the past and from my experience there is a moderate chance that something will go wrong, and i too have my hands tied at the moment preventing me from DIYing even if i wanted too

Just out of interest chelsea, what sort of bad vibes have you heard from PCspecialists?

and i've had a quick browse at that cyberpower site and have built more or less the same PC that i've been eying up on PCS with £30 shaved off :D will consider buying from them now, cheers! ;)

Fair enough.

What sort of spec are you thinking?

i've decided to order from cyberpower, mainly because of the current 5% rebate offer and the research i did last night.

spec: Core 2 Duo E6600, ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe, 2x512Mb DDR2-800, X1950 Pro, 160Gb HDD

Hi

This is my first post, having read this thread. I've been researching a new PC to upgrade from my current AMD Athlon 2400 to something like at least an Intel Core Duo 6300, plus say GEForce 7600. Budget was to be around £5-600, possible from the likes of Aria and PC Nextday, although Evesham,Mesh and Dell came out as top retailers in a recent survey.

However, as stated elsewhere, I've always been suspicious of who the various magazines favour, and the likes of the above companies appear to have had some bad reviews on this Forum.

So I'm interested to see how you get on with Cyberpower - good luck!

Well, A Tuin, I received a phone call this afternoon saying that my order has been built and tested and will arrive on my doorstep sometime tomorrow. This is a total of 7 standard days from when i ordered, even though the confirmation email sent to me after i ordered said that i should get the said phone call between 10-14 working days. So far so good, shall let you know what tomorrow when its arrived :D

I am pleased to say that i am typing this message on a brand spanking new cyberpower PC. The build is quite professional - with the cabels positioned in a very tidy fashion. Its very well ventilated, with all sensors registering low temps. The packaging itself is arguably not as 'professional' compared with the likes of dell, but it was more than sufficient to get the unit from A to B in on peice. I highly recommend purchasing a cyberpower product. And Tuin, the 5% rebate offer is still valid, so if you wanna save some cash, then head over and start building :p
