Hey guys, would it actually be cheaper to buy parts for a computer then build it than it would to actually buy one as it is?

It’s not necessarily cheaper to buy components but! You will build a better PC by doing it yourself IE choose what you really need and then add to at a later point in time.

Hi,

It can be cheaper, but the plus side to building it yourself is that you can pick the best bits.

Such as, quiet power supplies, cooler and quieter graphics, quicker motherboards, more less storage and so on.

If you only considered specification - yes.

If you choose quality parts to build with - about the same cost.

But your home build will be better than a tailor made unit.
