Not ecomically... Any laptop that doesn't have enough modern ports will not
be worth the cost of such a device. Any laptop that is worth anything will
have 99% of the ports you need.

Why do you need the extra ports is a better question.

Not possible: the slot(s) you have are part of the mainboard. AFIK,
there are no PC Card (the correct terminology) extenders.

I'm planning to buy Creative's PCMCIA soundcard (SB0530).
I have PCMCIA slots on my laptop, but they're being used by a powered usb2.0 hub.
My notebook is a 5 year old sony vaio (pcg-grx560).

If your laptop is a Dell:

this docking station has 2 PCI slots but that pretty much shoots the portability. Turns it into a
near desktop.
