PC turns off during install of programs

I tried to install IE7 and media player on my computer and half way through
the process, my computer reboots. I have no idea what is going on. Any
time i try to install the programs, the same thing happens. If you have any

Have you had any other strange little issues? Something similar happened
to me recently and ended up trying to do a clean install of the OS, but,
it was also rebooting and throwing wobblies during install. Finally,
after testing out all components the fault was traced to two sticks of RAM
that had gone bad at the same time.
