PC to HDTV, RGB or HDMI?

I just got an LG 47" LCD TV and want to connect it to my PC (my graphic card
is an X1950XT).

The TV has both RGB and HDMI inputs. Are there advantages of using HDMI over
RGB?

HDMI is, of course, a "digital" interface, and some people
will claim an inherent advantage for the signal simply being in
digital form. The actual advantage in terms of image quality
depends a LOT on how good a job your particular TV does
in terms of its analog (RGB) inputs. In some cases, the two
will be virtually indistinguishable.

One more clear-cut advantage of the HDMI input, assuming
that it's supported by the PC's graphics card, is the ability
to handle content-protected material at full resolution, which
isn't supported on the analog connections.
