PC starts up on its own

When I have finished with my computer, I log off on the
screen then I turn off my pc using the switchoff button
on the screen and turn off the monitor. However,
sometimes (not always) but often the pc starts up again
on its own. What am I doing wrong?
 
You really to to first do "Shutdown" from within Windows XP. This will shut
the Windows and power the PC off, normally if the PC is a recent model with
ACPI controls. Then, you will only need to turn the monitor off.
