My PC keep shutting down & restarting, sometimes hang halfway after
restarting. I got my vendor to check but he found no problems, no virus,
spyware, etc. He then changed the power supply. Everything works fine again
but few weeks later, the same problem happen. Anyone got any advice? Thanks.

Greetings,

I might have two conclusions for you.

1) Usually when pcs just restart by themselves this is caused by a fault CPU
cooler or it's just not so powerful to cool the CPU. Try taking your
computer to your local technican and ask his opinion

2) Also another reason that can be well known is spyware. I've written a
short guide on how to remove or battle spyware. Check out the guide here:

Try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

Thanks and best of luck!

Or he is using the cheapest power supplies ever. He may actually be
giving you power supplies that are less than what you need or just
poorly built. I would also recommend using a program such as Everest
Home from www.lavalys.com to find the temps of your computer to see if
it is actually overheating.

Thanks for your advice. I will try out.
