Welcome to this weeks News Edition, although slightly late due to lots of behind the scenes work!

There are only 8 days left to the close of our competition, so be sure to get your entries in! We are still on the lookout for some article writers at PCR, so if you are untested, send me an e-mail and I can tell you a little bit more about it.

This week in the computing world seems to be dominated by news of a continuing trend... virii and spam. These are no longer becoming just a nuisance, but actually incredibly costly and annoying. I really do wonder when people will stop creating such things. Stories like this (at the BBC), are becoming more frequent (although extreme).

In the coming weeks we will have a few articles to help you spot the fraudsters and make sure that your computer is safe from all sorts of malicious activity.

TweakNews have a review of the DFI LanParty Pro 875B, which is a cool looking, high performance Intel P4 solution motherboard.

The revision B release of the Lanparty PRO875 can be easily summed up to be an improved version of an already solid performing initial release. With the improved and re-engineered BIOS, enthusiasts can now save their favourite BIOS configurations for later use or for when their particular task requires different aspects of the board to be tweaked. Instead of going through all the sections and changing the particular settings, you can have your Lanparty just the way you like it within a couple keystrokes.

ViperLair also have a review of the Koolance Exos-Al, an external liquid cooling system, which looks very impressive.

As stated earlier, the Koolance Exos-Al is a self contained water cooling solution. The unit measures 18.4cm x 47cm x 9.5cm (width x length x height), and weighs 1.8kg (weight will be slightly more when filled) which is almost half the weight of their previous model. On both sides of the Exos-Al are some large vents for the air intake.
