PC macros won't work on MAC

Adam

Hi,

I spent the last month working on a large workbook in Excel 2003 and it has
all sorts of macros in it. It works great on PC versions of Excel. However,
the macros are not working when MAC users open the workbook. Also, the
formatting of the MAC file is a bit off. Is there an easy way to make my
workbook compatible with the MAC version of Excel?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam,

What does "nor working" mean?
In Excel 2008 there is no VBA anymore.
Check the macro protection level.

Even in MacExcel prior to 2008, there are incompatibilities.

* MacExcel uses an older version of VBA than the version which was
introduced in Windows Excel 2000.
* Windows Excel has access to all manner of Windows API calls which are not
compatible with the Mac OS.
* MacExcel does not have ActiveX controls in the worksheet, which were
introduced in Windows Excel 97.

If you want to get the most out of Excel, you should join up with the >95%
of Excel users who run Excel on Windows. (I don't know what the actual
numbers are, but Mac visitors to my web site comprise less than 3% of the
total.)
