PC locks up when on internet

My PC locks up evertime on the internet with varying
lenghts of time before it locks up. I can go a few days
with no lockups to a few minutes before freezing. Any
ideas?

Are you sure that it's only when your surfing the 'net? Random lock-ups
(and spontaneous reboots) can be caused by flaky memory, flaky PSU (or
one not powerful enough for your system), or overheating.

Yes it only happens while on the net. One time it did
happen while my PC was dialing up the net. How would I

Well I wouldn't rush to buy bigger heat sinks just yet.

Note the time of the crash then re-boot and take a look in the System and
Application Event logs using Event Viewer (see help and support). You may
need to log in as admin to run Event Viewer. Look for an error message in
the logs around the time of the crash. If there are several look for the
first one around the time of the crash. If you find one double click on it
and you will see more info. There is also a button you can click to copy the
content to the clip board so you can post it here like this one I prepared
earlier....
