pc lock

My pc locks but not all the time and mostly when using
WORD. The only to get back is to completely power down
(pull the socket from the wall ) Any ideas ?

Pulling the socket from the wall seems unnecessarily
destructive. Why not try pulling the plug out of the
socket next time?
