PC keeps restarting XP

I was downloading some updates on my laptop (xp pro) and it froze. No matter what I did it would not do anything. Now I start it and it keeps rebooting over and over. Any help is great. Thanks
 
Can you get it into Safe Mode? Hit F8 key about 2 times a
second after starting it. if it stops rebooting do a
System Restore.
