PC crashing without warning

Hard to tell what the root cause is...

When you say 'crash' do you mean that the computer locks
up or you get some sort of an error message (if so what
message)?

Also what is showing up in your Event Viewer logs
(Application & System logs)?

The computer locks and I can't do anything with it. I have
to power it off and on again to get it back working. I do
not get any error messages. It usually happens when I am
working with Powepoint. I have looked in the Event Viewer
but there is nothin there to signify what is causing the
problem.

Have you applied the latest office service packs?

if not do so.

I would uninstall powerpoint, then reinstall.
or if this came with office i would do the repair of
office.
