PC-cillin 2002 not updating

I've only had this running for a few months, and now when I try and update
the virus definitions I get a message saying *The PC-cillin server response
timed out.*

Currently it's updated as follows:

Program version: 9.05
Build number: 1389
Scan engine: 6.81
Virus pattern: 688

You have OEM version for 3 or 6 months and it expired.
