Pb Vista HP Laserjet 3380

I have chaged my PC and have now a Vista one. My printer is a Laserjet
3380. Hp says on its site this printer is Vista compatible.
1 - The drivers available in Vista are for 3380 PCL5 or 3380 PS, which
one is the good one?
2 - After having tried with both, I cannot print. Documents are
queuing withan error message.
has anyone encountered the same problem and solved it?
Thks

I have the same problem. Have been frustrated for several hours today with
it. Have you found a solution yet?

You want to use the PCL5 (Printer Command Language) drivers, unless you have
a need for Post Script drivers. PS is used mainly in publishing houses for
publication quality text. What is the exact error message you are getting?
Most often when it hangs like that it is something in the spooler. Also is
this USB or network? 32bit of 64bit Vista? With a little bit more info we
can get this working.

Make sure it is not a USB problem. If you have a number of USB devices
plugged in one thing you can do is to unplug most of them, even the keyboard
(use an on screen keyboard for the test) and try to print.

If you can print a test page then it should be a USB problem.

It is a very familiar situation.

What is the hardware? Is the printer new? What brand of Vista is it?
