Sad news to hear of the death of Patrick Moore.For anyone who has an interest in astronomy,like my self, it is sad news. May he rest in peace.

I was very saddened to hear the news today. He was a real character and managed to always make astronomy that bit more interesting.

Yes R.I.P Sir Patrick Moore

Met him back in 91 where I worked we had a private observatory in the grounds and an Astronomy club once a month would attend, Patrick attended a couple of times as Guest speaker and always got a rousing welcome..
Holds the world record for the longest running programme..:bow:

RIP Sir Patrick. Beside his great knowledge of all matters astronomical, he had a wonderful sense of humour too. His passing will leave a big void for those of us who enjoyed The Sky at Night.
