Pasting text from PowerPoint 2003 to 2002

I have made a presentation template on a computer with PowerPoint 2003 that
successfully has been used on a computer with PowerPoint 2002. Except for one
thing! When copying a textbox from a ppt document to another on the computer
with the 2002 version, the indents changes (and not in line with the master
placeholders layout which is the same for both documents). This doesn't
happen if I copy and paste an entire slide but only when copying separate
textboxes. It seems as the pasted textbox somehow "follows" another master
format. Any idea why this happens and what to do about it.

When pasting textboxes in PowerPoint, the default is to take on the default
textbox styles, so it is possible that it is picking up a style from the
presentation. However, when you paste, do you get a small smart tag on the
lower right corner of the textbox?

If you do, this should give you the option to paste "keeping the original
formatting". I think using this will allow you to paste the textbox as you
want it, instead of applying (in this case) unwanted presentation styles.
