I have a new computer, and haven't changed too many of
the settings yet. On my old computer (W'95), I could
easily copy a web graphic and paste it onto a word
document...lots of school projects! Now, after I paste,
I only get a blank box, or sometimes nothing at all, when
I paste a copied graphic or photo. I get a prompt asking
me how I want to open the file. I don't know too much
about this...I just want to cut and paste...nothing
fancy. Please, someone, help me. Much thanks!!

Tammy, open Word first. Then do your copy/paste operations.

Explanation: The newer versions of Word use something called the Office
clipboard. That little program can cause the contents of the Windows
clipboard to be removed. If you open Word after you copy an image, the
paste will fail. This is because, at that point, both the Windows clipboard
and the Office clipboard are empty.
