Maybe you have a paragraph in between the paragraphs that is set to 1.5.
There are several ways to minimize these types of problems, depending on how
much you are copying and pasting. I'll provide a couple:
1. Copy and paste one paragraph at a time - To ensure all you bring over is
the text, triple-click a paragraph to select it, hold the SHIFT key down and
press the left arrow. This ensures the paragraph marker at the end is not
selected. Press CTRL-C to copy. Switch to your other document and press
CTRL-V to paste it where you want. The text will take on the
characteristics of the place you put it. This is also the cleanest and best
way to ensure no "strange formatting" is carried into your new document.
2. Copy and paste multiple paragraphs (at least more than one at a time) -
Select your various text using which ever method you like to select text,
press CTRL-C to copy it, switch to your new document, click the "Edit" menu,
select "Paste Special", click the "Unformatted text" option, then click
"OK". You might need to do a little formatting, but at least it only brings
over the text.
Hope these help. Keep in mind that the absolute best way to handle your
documents is to create Styles for the various formatting needs you have.
You can then create a new toolbar with your Styles as icons on it, paste
your text, click the desired Style icon, and quickly format your text.
