Paste Link Text or Text Boxes?

Hello,

I am trying to find away to paste link a text box so that when text is
updated on slide 1, it automatically popluates to text boxes that I have
linked on slides 3 and 4.

I've tried to copy and paste special text, it turns into a hyperlink
I've tried to copy and paste special text boxes, but then paste link is
greyed out.

Any suggestions?

CMB,
Maybe use two masters, put the textbox on the master, apply that master to
the desired slides. Update the master when the text has to change.
Or maybe use a paste link to an Excel cell.
Other than that I see no other possibilities. Maybe someone will have better
ideas.

Christina,
In addition to Luc's comment, you could do this quite easily with a
little VBA code, assuming you know a little VBA.

If you are not comfortable with VBA I'd suggest considering using
tables in Excel as the source data and copy and paste linking from
there into PPT. Then updating the Excel file and updating links would
re-populate the PPT textboxes.
