passwords

every time i save my apsswords then next time I log on
the saved password is too long. ie; its takes the saved
password and then anohter one is added to it. any ideas
how to stop this and clear the password file.. ?

XP always shows a number of extra "*" characters - it's a security thing so
other people cannot get a stab at what your password really is.
