I am not sure if this is the correct forum in which to
ask this question. Anyway, here goes.....

Over the last year and a half I have used the same
password for access to sensitive documents I have saved.
All of a sudden I am being told that the password I am
entering is incorrect.

Is there a solution to this?

Hi Helen - The password is the same that I use for
everything: browser log-in, e-mail, bank, e-bay,
everything. So I type it case sensitively on auto-
pilot. :-))

It is very unwise to use the same password for everything. Is it possible
that someone with access to your machine has learned that password and
changed it on some of your documents? If they have all your personal stuff
is potentially open to scrutiny. The other possibility is that the document
is corrupt. Have you a backup that you can try?

Thank you for your reply and advice.
Yes, I agree that it is inadvisable for me to have the
same password for everything. I am going to ammend my
lazy ways.
But, no - I am the only one with access to my computer.
And, sadly, no once more - I do not have backups of the
documents.
